I wanted to get a new chair, and maybe look at kitchen stuff. But after wandering around for almost an hour, I lost patience and walked out with nothing but cat toys.
Max is such a good sport. He came right over to check everything out. The Spots seem curious about the tunnel, but they won't go in. They've been taking turns lounging in the cat tent though.

Max was named after the Wildest Thing of All. Like Maurice Sendak's Max, Stick Figure Cat likes having dinner waiting after a wild rumpus.

While filling out Max's adoption paperwork, I thought of the Velveteen Rabbit. Just as he went from unwanted to adorable, every abandoned animal has the potential to "become real".

Max looks a tiny bit like Milton, "an exceptional cat with a curious nose" :)

Remember how Mowgli's wolf parents introduced their new boy to the pack? Max's first meeting with the Spots reminded me of that.

IKEA actually calls that blue thing a dog/cat tent. Ruckus will love it - and if he doesn't, it's only $6.
