And he's an Obama supporter, too!

A nice couple came to the shelter during my volunteer shift. They thought their super sweet and slightly clingy cat might like to have a new brother. As soon as I heard that, I knew Lloyd was their man.

I've never pushed so hard for any particular shelter animal to be picked. I promised that Lloyd would be a better friend to their Dorcas than any other cat. And I assured them that he prefers Obama to McCain. Lloyd purred through our entire conversation, and off they went to fill out the adoption paperwork.

I hope Lloyd does hit it off with Dorcas, and doesn't turn out to be a Republican.

Unlike us humans, I believe most cats can transcend petty political bickering and "reach across the aisle" for a nice cat-nap together. Even MY two cats can do this! :)
