Hey, someone's outside. Quick, get the door! It's probably some kind of delivery, and deliveries mean MORE BOXES!

Oh, it's Josh from Green Pets! With three huge bags of Swheat Scoop! Yay for litter! Max likes clean litter!

But... Josh didn't bring any boxes. Pooh.

Oh well. Max did already get his cardboard fix today. See? These are tumblorz; they came with his new cat habitat. Max has to admit they're awesome for batting around the apartment. Ready set go! Who's ready for a race??

Friends never should care

Max stretched out on top of the cat tree and got ready to take a nap. Just when he started drifting off, his perch began to wobble. An earthquake? No. Just Spot's footsteps.

And before Max knew it, Spot did a belly flop right on top of him! Thump. Oof. Max is just a tiny squiggle of a cat, and Spot is nearly as heavy as an elephant!

But Max wasn't the least bit offended. How could he be, when Spot has always been so generous about sharing his food?

Besides, like his Flickr pal photo2c says, friends never should care. Purr!

It's a triple decker lounger-scratcher!

It's got a down-filled cat bed at the top. So soft!

And an over-sized cat lounger in the middle. Very spacious!

And most importantly, the perfect cat scratcher at the base! It's wonderfully sturdy, just the right height, and covered with the kind of fabric that's sooo satisfying to sink claws into. Ooooh yes!

All your sofas are belong to cats!

"Hello," Max overheard the building manager say. "You got a package." Max's ears perked up. He likes packages. Packages come in cardboard boxes!

As usual, Max supervised the box opening. He was surprised to find that there were THREE MORE BOXES inside. And they stacked up like so. Wow. Neat!

What's that you say? He's gone overboard on cardboard? Can a cat ever have too much cardboard? No! Of course no.

By the way, Max found out about the Caboodle Cat Habitat (not to mention that pink scratching pad on the left) through moderncat. Thanks so much, Kate!

Not Spot (who'd rather you called him Kitty, really) doesn't like being reminded of how... big-boned he is. Hey, don't hate him for his well-roundedness!

And please, what's with those ever-shrinking portions in his food bowl? He's got plenty more room to grow, don't you see?

She got it all wrong

I'm making this for you, she said. I know it's not big enough just yet. It's too small even for Max! We need more cardboard.

Spot thought it's a good thing Max likes the so-called scratching pad, even if it's a waste of cardboard. He'd sooo much rather stretch his claws on whole sheets of the stuff!

It smells like time for mischief

Max was getting bored with his toy mouse.

But look at those tomatoes over there! Mmm.

Max LOVES fruit. Not to eat, but to grab from bowls and bat around like soccer balls. It's soooo awesome when he can push a whole bunch off the table and get all of them rolling across the floor. He'll pounce on one while giving another a little push so he can chase after it a second later. Fun!

He likes cherries the best. Their stems make them easier to handle, and unlike tomatoes and blueberries, they don't tend to go splat. But he's an easy going kind of cat who makes do with what he's got. Purr!

A DYI adventure!

Hey! What's going on there? Sometimes Max thinks his human isn't too bright. Why is she flattening HIS cardboard boxes? Now she's drawing lines all over them; that he can help with. Then out comes the Xacto knife. Time to move to higher ground and supervise from afar.

Ooh. She's rolling the cardboard strips up. Check out that round thing it's become. It smells like catnip! Yay for catnip!

It makes a good pedestal, too. Max has always liked putting himself on a pedestal. What can he say? He's proud of himself. She couldn't have done this without him, you know? He'll give credit where it's due, though. The idea came from Design Sponge and was mentioned on moderncat.
